Our Plan for Change

"We understand the challenges you’re facing, because we’re facing them too. That’s why we’re delivering change with an innovative, consensus building approach to government that puts our families first again."
— Jim, Lou and Pam

Delivering $2.2 billion in property tax relief, cutting $500 million in wasteful spending – and passing the savings on to our families
In these tough economic times, Jim, Lou and Pam are making the right decisions for our families. They’ve worked hard to reduce state spending, passing a state budget that spends $4 billion less than last year. But they’ve also protected the critical programs on which our families depend, such as tax rebates for seniors and the disabled. Jim, Lou and Pam dedicated $2.2 billion to property tax relief – providing an average of $1,300 each to those earning less than $75,000 per year. Together, Jim, Lou and Pam will continue to make the tough but responsible financial decisions we need to put New Jersey back on the right track.

Growing South Jersey’s economy and holding Wall Street accountable
Jim, Lou and Pam have helped create jobs by cutting business taxes and providing a $3,000 tax credit to small businesses for every job created. They provided $50 million for small and mid-sized business that will help jump-start our economy. Pam authored measures to cut red tape and provide tax credits to businesses converting to solar and wind power. She has become a leader in promoting alternative energy such as solar and wind, helping to create new, good-paying jobs here in South Jersey, while providing consumers with clean, renewable electricity. Together, Jim, Lou and Pam will continue fighting to ensure a secure future for our families with good-paying jobs.

To hold Wall Street accountable, Jim, Lou and Pam voted for tougher corruption penalties for investment advisors who abuse their clients’ trust, new regulations for mortgage brokers, and tighter oversight of the financial advisors entrusted to invest our retirement savings. They support legislation to stop out-of-control debt collectors, prevent utility companies from charging in advance of service, and increase penalties for scammers who fraudulently insure cars. They will continue to protect consumers from unethical practices by those trying to make a quick buck at our expense.

Lowering the cost of health care and bringing the Cancer Institute of New Jersey to Voorhees
Lou and Pam supported the expansion of Cooper University Hospital's cancer and heart treatment centers so that families in South Jersey can get the top quality care they need close to home. They also support providing funding to build a top rate medical school right here in South Jersey. Jim, Lou and Pam are working to make sure that every child in New Jersey has health insurance. That’s why Lou authored a law requiring all New Jersey children to have health care coverage. They will continue fighting to expand New Jersey Family Care, which covers uninsured children and families and helps reduce health care costs for everyone by making sure that every family has access to the medical care they need to remain healthy.

Standing strong against corruption with tough ethics reforms
Jim, Lou, and Pam are standing strong against corruption. Lou and Pam ran as the first-ever clean elections candidates and voted to ban elected officials from holding dual offices. Together they are fighting to require the disclosure of all campaign contributions, require the full disclosure of public contracts, and are committed to stopping elected officials from hiring their relatives. Most critically, they’re working to make it easier for the public to recall corrupt elected officials and are committed to ending the culture of corruption in Trenton.
