Assemblywoman Connie WagnerGuiding our young people and our state to a brighter future 

A dedicated public servant and veteran high school guidance councilor, Connie Wagner has worked to improve our children’s future for nearly 40 years.

Connie began her career as a guidance counselor at Bogota High School in 1970. Through her hard work and years of service she rose to become the Director of Guidance. In 1997, she joined Paramus High School where she was recognized as Counselor of the County. After a 37-year career serving our young people, Connie retired in 2007.

As a community leader, Connie has fought to preserve our open space and improve our quality of life. Connie founded the Paramus Cultural Arts Council and played key roles in restoring the Paramus Band Shell and the opening of the Fritz Behnke Historical Museum. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Trenton State College and a master’s from Montclair State College.

As a public official, Connie’s continued her life’s work of helping our young people and guiding Bergen County to a more promising future. She’s served as a County Freeholder and a Paramus Borough Councilmember, working to keep Bergen affordable and protect our quality of life.

Connie and her husband, Richard, have three children.
